Sacramento Fontmaking Workshop Participants
On May 2, 2003 Chank Diesel hosted a fontmaking workshop in Sacramento, CA for the area Art Director & Artists Club. Thirteen workshop participants each chipped in a few letters and watched as their glyphs were turned into a font before their very eyes.
Now, a few weeks later, the results of that workshop are available for you to download in the form of Westsac, a perky little Times-influenced free font that will add levity to your layouts while maintaining a traditional Roman style that's easily accessible to your readers. Like Mister Frisky on ritalin. Or a copy of the New York Times that somebody sat on for a little while.
Westsac is named after WEST SACramento, home to a lady who came up to Chank and started telling him about how she had just decked her husband because she found out he was cheating with another lady and then she asked for a ride back home to her home in West Sac. Yeah, right.
Enjoy this font and use it often.
